2017 Bike Run Set for June
Live to Ride. Ride to Live. Ride to Help Others Live.
You would think riding 78 miles on a summer Sunday afternoon would have nothing to do with keeping homeless from freezing to death. When you ride with the Sub Zero Mission in June, you will be doing just that.
Join us Sunday, June 25 for the 2017 Sub Zero Mission Bike Run to raise money to help keep keep homeless warm. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon on the open road and at five stops in eastern Lake and western Ashtabula Counties.
Your $25 per person donation gets you into the dice game at each location, a special edition SZM bandana, and a steak dinner when you return to the starting point. We welcome carloads of people as well.
Registration starts at noon at Mr Lee’s, 3564 S Ridge Rd, Perry, with kickstands going up at 1:00.
You can’t have a bike run without heading towards Geneva-on-the-Lake. First stop is at the east end of the strip where the GOTL Brewing Company overlooks Lake Erie Then it’s a nice distance south to more water at Paradise Bay Waterfront Bar and Grill.
After a long run west you’ll stop at the Birthplace of the Sub Zero Mission, the Leroy VFW. A little farther west you’ll make the turn home at Rounders Lounge on Route 20 in Mentor.
The last leg of the day will end up back at Mr. Lee’s for a steak dinner, raffle prize drawings, and DJ entertainment.
You can get tickets online with a $1.25 convenience fee, at Mr Lee’s, and some of the other participating establishments.
