Founded by veterans

The Sub Zero Mission does focus on veterans because about 18% of the adult homeless population are veterans according to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Part of our mission is to find veterans and help them make connections to services.

Since the founders and many of the volunteers are veterans there is a special connection there as well.

We focus on veterans wherever we are.

Making a Difference in the lives of veterans in our community

Our team finds a lot of homeless people in the alleys, under bridges and in the woods. 1 in 5 are veterans. By the time we find them, they may feel that they are out of options. It is wonderful to see our system recognizes the special circumstances that may have led a veteran to a crime. It will be nice to get a chance to help before they end up in the woods or worse.

Mentor and CEO Al “Sarge” Raddatz explains how he and The Sub Zero Mission help address the challenges faced by homeless veterans.
