Department of Veteran Affairs – VA 2K Walk in Willoughby, Ohio
May 18 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Department of Veteran Affairs is celebrating National Fitness Day. Through this process, we will be collecting items that could impact homeless veterans. The purpose is to support homeless Veterans and encourage healthy physical activity for employees and veterans. The VA 2K (1.24 miles) Walk is meant to involve the whole VA community and highlight the importance of physical activity in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Employees and Veterans at all levels of fitness can walk, run, or roll in support of homeless veterans. The VA 2K is short so that even slow walkers can complete it during a 30-minute lunch break. This event illustrates that incorporating physical activity into the workday is doable.
