The Sub Zero Mission has been awarded the highest rating a charity can receive from the Better Business Bureau: Wise Giving Alliance Accredited Charity. This 5-Star rating enables donors to make more informed giving decisions.
Charities earning this designation are required to meet 20 standards set by the BBB. The SZM Board of Directors made earninig this prestigious rating one of its goals for the year. See the Sub Zero Report here.
“I couldn’t be more proud of this team right now,” Al Raddatz, SZM CEO said upon hearing the news. “We started working towards this in the early spring. It was a tough haul, but good experience. This certainly adds a legitimacy to what we are we doing,” he said.
“This also makes us feel good about what we have already accomplished and where can head from here,” Raddatz added.
The 20 standards a charity listed on the Wise Giving Alliance must meet include these areas: governance and oversight, measuring effectiveness, finances, and solicitations and informational materials.
This seal of approval from the BBB will enable the Sub Zero Mission to continue to grow in its efforts to keep homeless warm during the winter months in northeast Ohio and other regions.
