Josh Cole is a former Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps who has transformed personal challenges with alcohol into a mission of purpose and service. Now over two years sober, he shares his journey to inspire others navigating substance use and recovery. Through his involvement with The Sub Zero Mission, Josh participates in outreach and speaks throughout the community, bringing awareness to both homelessness and addiction. His story is a powerful reminder that change is possible and that no one has to face their struggles alone.
Mat brings more than 26 years of experience at Progressive Insurance, where he currently serves in Information Security as the compliance business owner for the PCI program. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles spanning both business and technology, while also volunteering extensively. His volunteer work includes mentoring new hires, high school students, and peers, as well as leading efforts that support Progressive’s military communities.
Lisa oversees all aspects of the HVRP program related to veteran services. This includes developing and implementing strategies to support homeless and at-risk veterans. Lisa ensures program compliance, coordinates with community partners and service providers, and advocates for the unique needs of veterans within the program.
James Hido is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, community leader, and serial entrepreneur dedicated to empowering others and building lasting impact across Northeast Ohio. As a driving force behind Sub Zero Mission, a veteran-founded nonprofit that ensures “Nobody Should Freeze to Death in America,”t.
Douglas is a 1998 graduate of the University of Dayton and a 2002 graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. From 2003-2018, he practiced law at a defense litigation firm in Cleveland, Ohio. Doug and his family have a history of charitable work with various organizations throughout the Cleveland area, including the Sub Zero Mission.
Barb is a 1987 graduate of Riverside High School in Painesville Ohio. She brings with her over 25 years of experience in customer service-related industries. In 2021 Barb obtained her real estate license in the State of Ohio and is currently working with Kimberly’s Realty Corp.
