Main donation period from October 1 through December 1.

We will start Item Donation Days/Periods again soon. Stuff the Bus dates will begin October 1. If you would like to request a date for a Stuff the Bus event, please fill out this form.

You can donate Warming Items to The Sub Zero Mission; clothing, tents, sleeping bags and other items that are meant to keep someone warm. We collect these items from October 1 through December 15. We will accept donations throughout the year at Ground Zero, but they might not be brought in every night.

Donate Warming Items to the Sub Zero Mission: help keep homeless warm

Some companies and organizations hold a Stuff the Bus event. You can request to Stuff the Bus here. Check the Event Schedule to find the Stuff the Bus near you.

We take the following items:

Our Stay Alive Five
Hats (winter)
Coats (adult sizes L – 4xl)
Gloves
Boots (Men’s Size 9 – 13)
Sleeping bags

Other items
We take ONLY NEW Socks please.
Tents
Hand warmers

PLEASE: No pants. No dresses. No undergarments. No toys.

Blankets are not a big need although we have places that will take them. Blankets and comforters are not practical for most homeless. Unfortunately, wet is a factor as much as cold and blankets get wet and become burdensome items to carry for somebody who has no place to leave them.

We also do not have much room for children’s sizes as we don’t find kids in the places we go. Typically, most kids get into shelters with special arrangements and accommodations geared towards people their age. We have places to take items donated for children, however, children’s items take resources to sort, store and transfer.

You can remember our most needed items with this little ditty…
